MonoShield Equine is a novel equine feed supplement developed by Mayo Healthcare in cooperation with the Microbiology Department of the National University of Ireland (NUIG).
This innovative technology, named ROS (reactive oxygen species) by Professor Vincent O’Flaherty, is safeguarded by a series of patent applications to protect its uniqueness. After conducting pH trials in 2018 at an Austrian agricultural college, which revealed a substantial increase in stomach pH over a 24-hour period compared to a control group when fed once daily, we investigated its impact on equines. As a result, we have formulated a Dietetic Complementary Equine Feed with a PARNUT claim. For best results, MonoShield Equine should be mixed with a yeast-free feed and fed once daily.
